Youth Volunteer Training / Community Leadership ?? 6 month program
|
Every year thousands of families across the world are separated by conflict and disaster. The
RFL/International Tracing Service in Australia is part of the International Red Cross and Red
Crescent global tracing network, which aims to re-establish contact between separated family
members and clarify the fate of the missing.
We are looking for 4 youth volunteers to participate in a 6-month training / community
leadership program with the Red Cross RFL/International Tracing Service.
In your volunteer role, you will have the opportunity to:
Develop skills and experience utilising our global Family Links Answers (FLA) database
developed and supported by International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Geneva.
Assist the WA team with local searches to reunite family members separated due to war,
conflict and disaster.
Conduct research and prepare casework support materials to assist with searches
overseas.
Provide humanitarian support and referral assistance to clients and/or members of the
community via our Migration Hub.
Option to develop public speaking/presentation skills via country briefings for Red Cross
staff and volunteers, and target community groups.
Expressions of Interest (EoI) can be sent to the WA Team Leader for RFL/International Tracing,
Melissa Di Dio [email protected] or call 92258886 to discuss. Closing date for EoI is Friday
