Youth Volunteer Training / Community Leadership ?? 6 month program

Posted by [email protected] on April 28, 2017 at 8:25 AM

Every year thousands of families across the world are separated by conflict and disaster. The

RFL/International Tracing Service in Australia is part of the International Red Cross and Red

Crescent global tracing network, which aims to re-establish contact between separated family

members and clarify the fate of the missing.

We are looking for 4 youth volunteers to participate in a 6-month training / community

leadership program with the Red Cross RFL/International Tracing Service.

In your volunteer role, you will have the opportunity to:

 Develop skills and experience utilising our global Family Links Answers (FLA) database

developed and supported by International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Geneva.

 Assist the WA team with local searches to reunite family members separated due to war,

conflict and disaster.

 Conduct research and prepare casework support materials to assist with searches

overseas.

 Provide humanitarian support and referral assistance to clients and/or members of the

community via our Migration Hub.

 Option to develop public speaking/presentation skills via country briefings for Red Cross

staff and volunteers, and target community groups.

Expressions of Interest (EoI) can be sent to the WA Team Leader for RFL/International Tracing,

Melissa Di Dio [email protected] or call 92258886 to discuss. Closing date for EoI is Friday
